On Thursday, September 20, dozens of outstanding young Colorado entrepreneurs will be honored at the 6th Annual Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs. Twelve of these successful young business owners will receive cash awards and plenty of accolades from the 700 guests in attendance.

This year Corey Tibljas, age 21 of Crested Butte, is one of the 12 talented finalists in our competition. Corey founded Two Plank Productions in 1999 and now has a crew of four to film and produce award-winning adventure sports footage, DVD content and films. Two Plank is the only small production company invited to participate in Powder Magazine’s 2007 Movie Awards. Tibljas finds a ready market for his extreme sport entertainment content and video production services. He credits his success to flexibility, diversity and professionalism. “All of these traits,” he adds, “work to provide the quality products my clients, fans and viewers expect.”

Tibljas takes up to two years to produce a feature film to allow time for school. He’s a senior at Western State majoring in Business and Economics . With his latest feature due out in 2008, Tibljas is working to acquire a resort sports network affiliate that could double his clients. He is also collaborating with a high school friend on a script for an independent film to be set in the Midwest. Tibljas gives back to his community as a volunteer fire fighter and EMT.
