Two Plank Athlete of the week interview: Aaron Blunck

We talked with our newest athlete addition, Aaron Blunck, just coming off of an amazing 2nd place competition result at the Grand Prix in Copper for super pipe. Also, while as we are talking, you found out you just got an invite to compete in Winter X Aspen! So proud of this little ripper and show the support @Aaron_Blunck!

· When/where/how did you develop your passion for dominating snow?

I started skiing when I was 18 months old! I started competing when I was 8 years old in Crested Butte and have loved it ever since then!

· What’s the worst spill you’ve taken?

The worst spill I ever took was in the North Face Open series in slopestyle I did a dub twelve and landed side ways on the knuckle about two feet away in and flipped straight to my shoulder.

· What’s the most impressive run you’ve crushed?

The Best run I have ever taken was in The Copper Grand Prix 2013. I was so stoked! [2nd place]

· When you see snow, you think/feel…?

I think about fun and feel a huge amount of excitement.

· Where is your favorite fresh powder location and why?

My favorite spot for fresh pow is morning glory in Crested Butte, Co.

· What is the best advice you can give to a person learning to ski?

Keep weight on your downhill ski hands in front and just go!

· What do you think are your biggest strengths as a skier? Weaknesses?

Strengths are definitely going big and getting landings! Weaknesses are not going as big as some people in the comps.

· What do you think are your biggest strengths as a human? Weaknesses?

I think being humble is my biggest strength, Weaknesses are doing to much for people and not for my self.

· What is the best way to approach an epic run?

Get in the mind set and listen to my music and just send it!

· Oh yeah, and how young are you?

I am 16 years old!

Cheer Aaron on as he competes in Whistler before arriving at Winter X Aspen!
