Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper Awards 21 year-old Video Producer

Denver, September 25, 2007— Corey Tibljas, a 21 year old from Crested Butte, won the 18-21 year old age category at the 6th Annual Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs. The Celebration is sponsored by the Young Americans Center for Financial Education and was held at the Belmar Center in Lakewood. Corey, whose business is Two Plank Productions—named after the two planks used for skis—is one of four winners in this business competition for Colorado youth.

Each winner in the competition received $1,000 to be used towards his or her business or education. In addition, they receives the honor of being paired with a Presenting Mentor – a prominent Denver businessperson to whom they can look to for business advice and guidance. Corey’s mentor, the honorable John Hickenlooper, Mayor of Denver and entrepreneur, presented his check and engraved award after the audience enjoyed watching a video of Corey meeting and talking business with the Mayor at his office. Corey graciously recognized all the other entrepreneurs in the audience and encouraged them to keep up their hard work.
